Worcester's high flying donation
Published: 12-04-2017
Following a year of fundraising events, the results have now landed for Worcester, Bosch Groups latest charity donation. The employees from the company pledged their support for the Midlands Air Ambulance in 2015 and are now delighted to announce that they have raised a total of £13,500 for this worthy cause.
The year took off to a flying start with associates from the leading heating and hot water manufacturer taking part in a sponsored bike ride between the two manufacturing plants in Worcester and Clay Cross, Derbyshire. The fun continued throughout the year with a range of moneymaking activities such as dress down days and bake sales.
Jon Cottrell, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator at Midlands Air Ambulance, said:
“As every Midlands Air Ambulance Charity mission costs on average £2,500, the support we receive from generous companies like Worcester, Bosch Group is vitally important. It enables our air ambulance operation to do what it does best – saving lives on a daily basis. On behalf of the team at the charity and our amazing flight paramedics and doctors, I’d like to thank everyone at Worcester for their generous and invaluable support.”
Victoria Billings, Head of Marketing, at Worcester, Bosch Group, added:
“When we found out that the lifesaving service provided by the Midlands Air Ambulance is run purely on donations from the public and businesses, we knew it was something we had to get involved in. Everyone at Worcester has loved participating in a wide variety of charity activities across the year, and we are so delighted to be able to support the fantastic work that they do and help ensure the service continues at its best."
