Here are some of the things we do within our distribution and logistics teams:

• We use a tracking system to monitor various parameters, including driver style and fuel usage, which can be used to make adjustments to improve efficiency.
• We load plan to ensure that we carry our goods in the most efficient way and wherever possible our trucks leave our distribution centre full.
• We ‘back haul’ with some suppliers, so when our trucks are returning to our distribution centre, and are close to a supplier, they call in to collect the supplies rather than ordering a forward delivery from them.
• We use the latest aerodynamic trailers with curved roofs and diffusers, which helps to reduce fuel usage.  The decks within the trailers have been replaced with mesh to reduce weight, making the trucks lighter to tow.
