Colchester Borough Homes was set up in August 2003 by Colchester Borough Council and exists to provide tenancy management and maintenance services for council homes in the area. As an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), Colchester Borough Homes received a ‘good’ rating from the Audit Commission in 2004, which unlocked around £13.5m for the Decent Homes programme in Colchester. They won their award for working towards bringing all their housing stock up to Decent Homes Standard by installing Greenstar 30si and 24i system boilers and Greensource Air to Air hear pumps. At every opportunity they use Worcester products because of their service backup.
