Finding an installer
We recommend contacting at least three installers to come to your home and talk through your heating and hot water needs, as installers may vary in cost and diagnosis. They will discuss with you whether a simple replacement boiler is appropriate, or if there is a more suitable alternative.
Your installer will also explain the control systems available to you and make a recommendation based on the features you would like and anything extra such as smart functionality, weather compensation or load compensation.
Getting a quote
Your installer will give you a quote after their visit for supplying and fitting the boiler and should include the following work:
- Power flushing the heating system
- Controls
- Any system changes that may need to be carried out
The overall cost of the boiler and installation will depend on the boiler, system type and location in your home.

After your installation
Enjoy your cosy home! Once your installer has finished and completed a handover, you can enjoy your heating and hot water as and when you need it.
In order to maintain the guarantee an annual boiler service is required. A service is a regular check of the boiler’s installation, its performance and safety. We recommend contacting the installer that fitted your boiler to arrange a service. You may want to think about organising this in the summer months to avoid being caught out during the winter.
